YiKey is a translation keyboard for iOS. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Information We Process
- Translation text. When you use the translation feature — which requires you to enable Allow Full Access — the text you type or paste is sent to our backend server to obtain a translation. This text is processed solely to return a translation result.
- We use DeepL as a third-party provider to perform the translation.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not collect your identity, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not log or retain your keystrokes for any purpose other than returning the translation you requested.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- Without Allow Full Access, the keyboard runs locally and no text leaves your device.
Data Retention
Translation requests are processed transiently to return a result and are not retained after the translation is delivered.
Children's Privacy
YiKey does not knowingly collect data from children.
